We are looking to build a robust support section for an online tool which will include a forum, bug reporting, FAQ's and various forms of support. One of the features we are very insistent on is the ability to closely manage the activity or lach thereof in the forums and bug reports. To be notified by email when a post is responded to is standard. But we want to be able to send alerts when questions go UNanswered for a given amount of time.
What would the experts recommend as an easy to use and cost-effective package to set up such a site?
(Note: we are willing to do minimal coding to augment an open-source package.)
