I've been wresting with an application issue on a number oc XP workstations for some weeks now.

I have the feeling that the problems I am experiencing are related to file association setting for ".bmp" files.

So many products have been installed on these particuar pcs, some of which have changed the ".bmp" file association settings.

I suspect that some of these changes have stopeed one of the primary user application feature from functioning correctly.

My goal is to reset the file assocation settings for ".bmp" files back to their original out of the box state.

How do I reset ".bmp" file association setting back to their original values so they look exactly like they did after Windows XP was installed ?

I HAVE gone into folder option (file types tab) but that dosen't change everything realted to file associations.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.
