asked on

WSUS report for update.

I have wsus installed and want to ensure the time zone update was pushed out to my clients.  aside from looking at the reports/computers and looking at every compute in my organization, I was hoping that i could just run a report to check this one update.  Is this posible?  If so how..

There is a section in WSUS updates, "Updates needed by computers".  If your update has been deployed, then it should not be listed there.

thanks ylitvinov.
this is exactly what I was looking for.  I read that this update is for XP, 2003 Exchange only so the 2000 clients should not need, but I notice here that "some" of my XP clients install failed.  some recieved the update.  this is the error.
Error Download Failed: 0x80244019.

This seems to be related to the clients being behind a firewall or proxy or some sort.

Have a look at the WindowsUpdate.log in the C:\Windows directory on the client machine for the cause.

You can always opt to install the update manually on those machine if the problems persist.
