Preventing a user from accessing harddisk remotely
Dear Experts,
Consider the following scenario: I have a group policy to make a user named "user01" an administrator in all Windows XP computers that are member of our domain.
I want to apply a new group policy to prevent user01 from accessing other computers harddisks remotely (by \\computer\C$) but in the same time allowing domain admins to access computers harddisks remotely.
I need to apply this policy in such a way that when user01 physically logs on to the computer he can access all harddisk but he cannot do that remotely.
Is this possible to be implemeted ?

Add the user01 to a nother member group. Then on all of the other xp machines add the member group to the c:\ NTFS Security permission, and give set deny permissions.
Sorry I missed the...he needs to log on just not remotely...I am not sure if there is a way to do this.
