Outlook hangs when moving or deleting multiple items.
moving or deleting one item works fine
moving or deleting multiple items in a pst file works fine also
we are using Exchange 5.5 on Windows server NT 4.0

I assume that you are having problems moving things around in your pst?? Is your pst local or on a remote share.

Thanks for the help. We were able to resolve the problem by stopping and restarting the exchange services.
The performance optimizer was the next thing I was going to try if that didn't work.

Performance Optimizer does much more than just move files around.
I have run into your exact issue several times (many years ago though). Running performance optimizer corrected the problem.
