DiskSuite mirror troubleshooting (system won't boot)

Solaris 9

Creating a mirror of two disks c0t0d0 and c0t1d0 using http://www.brandonhutchinson.com/Mirroring_disks_with_DiskSuite.html procedure.  After editing vfstab to account for mirrors of each slice, the system won't boot indicating missing /usr filesystem.

I want to be able to correct the vfstab file - do I mount /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s0 or should I mount the d30 mirror consisting of c0t0d0s0 and c0t1d0s0 - is that possible?  What is the correct approach and why?

That's what I thought and what I did - I was able to correct the vfstab entries by booting of CD and mounting slice 0.  Thanks for confirming.
