Try reinstalling the app and then uninstalling it via Control Panel Add/Remove
Otherwise, you might give this a try...http://www.ccleaner.com/
brettbc,

You probably inadvertently deleted the uninstall file.  Reinstall System Mechanic in the same location. Now you can uninstall from Add/Remove Programs.

Woohoo! Thanks, but you should have split the points. I'm not worthy of that many points :)
Oh, yeah. I also had the order wrong of reinstalling and uninstalling, I think.
Or the wrong order :)
brettbc,

Did installing and then uninstalling worked for you?  Did I not post this solution first? Date:03.04.2007 at 01:41PM PST .  Usually at EE the first person who got the correct answer gets the points.
Actually, I posted it first... : |

I also gave the option of using ccleaner, which in my experience has done a great job of cleaning up these issues...
You are correct, sirbounty.  I thought I read your post first, but apparently not clearly enough.
No sweat.
This member though, has only responded in one of their questions, so I don't know if there will be any feedback here... : (
Oh, yeah, huh? But come on guys! I want some points too! Can't you guys let it slide? Please?! :)
"I'll" not make a stink out of it.
I would have preferred the asker to clarify why the comment above was chosen.  But from the history, it doesn't appear that the author is comfortable or aware of how to respond.
Perhaps your mention of TuneUp was what sorted it - but then, I would have expected my comments to have done the same...
Well, this is kind of off topic but, I, THE registry expert ;), would say CCleaner is definitely the best FREEWARE registry cleaner but TuneUp Utilities is the best registry cleaner out of all of the freeware AND shareware that I've tested and I've tested "everything".
