when I 'm logging without root username and password I can't see windows shares on network

Hi all,
I've fedora core 4 with Xampp package
when I try to access windows share from my fedora box when I use ordinary user called hatem it does n't see any windows share on any machine but I can see them when I log as roo
t can you help me to configure the box right so that I can see it whthout being a root

i dont know the problem but one way around is adding your hatem to sudo groups, so you can login as root easily.
Other Point would be checking your firewall and your samba configuration /etc/samba/smb.conf i think) check if users can view the network.

add this line to /etc/fstab file

//windows_Server_address/share      /path_to_mount      smbfs    noauto,owner,users,ro  0 0


grand full (rwx) permission to the path_to_mount folder for the users

 I added the following
//pc-308/in                   /media/in           smbfs    noauto,owner,users,ro  0 0
but when I connect to it it says:
Unable to mount the selected volume.
SMB connection failed

could you please guide me

can you browse it with konqueror or galleon? (smb://pc-308/in) ?

It  give  this error:

Internal Error
 Please send a full bug report at http://bugs.kde.org
 Unknown error condition in stat: Connection timed out
