Do not have permission to change files through mapped folders sbs 2003
How do I configure sbs server 2003 to read and write shared folders from work stations.
I have sbs server running a a domain controller.
I can map drives and see all data but i cannot edit or change data.
all my workstations are set up in a workgroup network which the sbs server is in also.
I connect the map drives as an administrator.
thanks

You have two sets of permissions. It sounds as if you don't have the users able to do so under the Shared permissions. Check the effective permissions on the directories and let us know what you see.

I have users set up as administrators and I give everyone full control. But i still get a sharing issue.
There are two sets of permissions on the file structure. Windows by default will use the most restrictive of them. Check both your regular permissions and your sharing permissions. You can check the overall sum of the permissions by looking at the effective permissions list.
