why dont you set up forwarding on the lawyers a/c on the exchange general delivery tab to his account

I would stay away from giving another user Send As and Receive As rights, too much crap can come out of that. Especially with the primary being a lawyer!<br />

If not poweruser32's way (which is what I would do), then give the other user Send on Behalf of rights. That is on the Exchange General Tab, under Delivery Options at the top. Just add the assistant.
