Concurrent connections to Exchange failing

We have two Exchange servers, each running on virtual servers (running on two different physical servers), load balanced with Microsoft NLB (network load balancing). When two many Outlook clients connect to the network load balanced IP address, with RPC over HTTP (SSL), all connections to both server stop working (including pinging the servers). Does any one have any ideas of how to fix/diagnose this?

Thank you!

ASKER

Problem resolved. Turned out that the firewall connecting the server to the net was running methods to prevent DoS attacks, and the high traffic to the server was not being a allowed.
