Championship Manager 3 won't run on Win XP Home

I have bought a copy of Championship Manager 3 (the PC Game) off eBay, but it won't play.

I have installed it successfully and tried to run it from Start>Programs but it says "Not Supported on Windows NT"

What is this all about? I thought I might be able to change the 'compatibility' to run as Windows 95.....but it doesn't work then either.....

My OS is Windows XP Home Edition on a Samsung V25 Laptop - P4 - 512MB RAM - 80GB HDD.

Any suggestions on how to run it?

Patch it to version 3.04e using the enhancement pack http://www.sigames.com/downloads.php?type=game&id=6
and then launch it in 98 compatibility mode (800x600)
