Upload the new firmware to want to use from sonicwall's website. save current config.
Hold in the reset button for about 10 seconds, this puts you in safe mode. open web browser to 192.168.168.168
Upload boot to new firmware with factory defaults.

If using firmware 6.x

Power down the appliance. Disconnect LAN and WAN ports
Wait 30 seconds, press and hold the Reset button.
While holding the reset button, power on the appliance.
Continue to hold the Reset button until the Test light begins blinking.
Once the Test light stops blinking and remains lit, release the Reset button.
Reconnect to LAN port directly from host PC with cross-over cable (red cable that came with the SonicWALL) and reconnect WAN port.
