For the sake of saving time, allow me to ask this;
I need to install msxml 4.0 SP2.  Based on instructions found at;
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=3144b72b-b4f2-46da-b4b6-c5d7485f2b42&DisplayLang=en
I choose to use msxml.msi to install msxml 4.0.  Yet I get this error;
HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Classes\Msxml2.FreeThreadedDOMDocument.4.0\CLSID.  Verify that you have sufficient access to that key.
I opened the CLSID hive and checked.  I do have premissions, I am the administrator on this machine.
Any suggestion how I can correct this problem?

rulirahmadi, thank you for the help.  I followed the instructions and everything worked well.  I will issue the points right after I install msxml4.  Might you know whether it is safe to delete those update msxml4 folders that have been accumulating on my hard drive?  They belong to msxml4.

You mean the huge folder before you solved the problem? Yes, I deleted all. Finally, after the problem fixed, I just have one folder:

C:\582ecbc2860568aaae\msxml4-KB927978-enu.

Regards!
