Hi,
Is there a software to install on a print server where we can receive mails or intimation when there is a printer problem/paper jam/toner level etc.

Regards

If your printer is connected to the network (using its own NIC) then either the printer itself, or one of several software packages can do that for you.

What printer(s) are you talking about, and how is it connected?

"network printers and are connected to the server through network" is not necessarily the same as a printer that is connected via its own network interface.

Assuming they are network connected, and not knowing your printer models, try pointing your internet browser at a printer's IP address and see if it lets you set them it for email.

Alternatively, download Xerox CentreWare Web from

http://tinyurl.com/ytc3qh

It's a big download (150MB) and installation/setup will take a while.

If the printers are not directly connected to the network, they won't have an IP address, and none of the above will work
