Locate websites link icons and change IE default link icon
Change sites icon from default IE icon to their own site link icon. When saving a site in my favorites folder, a lot of times the site will place their site specific icon next to the link rather than the default IE link. This is lost over time to temp file cache getting cleared.
I have read here from other poster's questions that by locating the *.ico file and saving it to a folder and then attaching the icon to this file will resolve.
I have yet been able to locate the icon's image. I have gone to the extent of replacing my EE link which re-establishes their icon in my favorites and then searching for ee.ico or Experts Exchange. I find the link but not the link icon.
Help.
Thanks,
Doug

The little icon you refer to is always (in theory) called favicon.ico and is located (again always in theory) in the root of any web site.
