I'm trying to use OSX Tiger, newest Firefox and flip 4 mac to be  able to play the video on this page
http://www.kirotv.com/video/11255211/index.html
but the video does not play.

Problem is I'm new to Macs. I downloaded and installed flip 4 mac and it said that it installed properly but I don't know how to find out if it is running correctly.
Thanks.

If correctly installed the Flip4Mac Module should be visible in the bottom pane of the System Preferences. The Current version is 2.1.0.33.

If you click on it .. it should open to allow you to see the settings.

The top option "Use Flip4Mac WMV Internet plug-in should be checked and greyed-out.
You may want to uncheck the last checkbox which says Launch Quicktime Player and restart Firefox.

I checked the URL you provided and was able to watch the Movie within Firefox so I can confirm that it works.
