Hi,
I'm running Crystal Reports Client XI and would like to save the reports to previous versions of the software.  Is this possible?  I need this because the reports will be read by an engine that supposedly only supports Crystal Versions 8 through 10.

As far as I know CR XI reports can be read by CR9 and CR 10.

There is no way to save the report in CR8 format.  CR9 added support for unicode and changed the report format,.  There is no ability to save in a previous format.

What problems are they having.

No problems so far, as the server platform is not up yet.  We just need to be able to "save as" a previous version short of re-doing the reports and/or opening them from 9.0 and saving them from that version.

As I said, everything i have read indicates CR9, CR10, and CR XI use the same report format.  So reports written in one can be opened in the other.

If you need CR8 then the reports will have to be developed in CR8.
