grant permission error on exchange 2003

Hi,
I got error message when I delegation control a user to be exchange full administrator on exchange 2003.
The error message is
"failed to grant permission for  domainname\username on this object: /dc=com/dc=domainname/cn=Configuration".
The user is copied from domian administrator.

The delegation wizard will fail to grant permissions to the user account if you are not logged into the Exchange server as an Exchange Administrator.

Thanks.

I have tried this but somehow the account I have is an Exchange Administrator but it still can not delegate control. You remind me and I can delegate control to a account when I login administrator of the domain.

Maybe the permissions for the account you were using at that time have been altered somehow - in delegate control or adsiedi or whatever. Try removing the Exchange Administrator rights for that account and delegating it again, which will reapply all necessary permissions to that account. If that doesn't work, recreate the account.
