I am running Exchange 2003 and I just created a new user through AD whose name is not appearing in the GAL.  Is there a way to manually add the name?  I tried to use the Update Now in System Manager but that is not appearing to work.

check the advanced tab. there is option to hide the user from the GAL. if that is checked then uncheck it
is your outlook running in cached mode? if yes then try checking with OWA or an outlook client running in online mode.

For some reason it is in the system now, it was not hidden but did just recently show up even though the account was created yesterday afternoon.  Just seems like such a long delay for this to take place.  Thanks

I have a user that disappeared.  She has been there and is now gone.  I have checked AD and she isn't hidden.  Any ideas?
