I get the following error message when sending from to on 3/20/2007 9:23 AM
  You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator.

I think my PTR record is ok:

That name resolves to your IP address.

However the reverse DNS doesn't match.

The reverse DNS comes back as which forward reverses to

Therefore it looks like you have either got your firewall config wrong so the traffic appears to come out from the wrong IP address, or the server as an identity crisis.

I changed the virtual smtp server settings which had configured. Now I'm getting the following message. I did this yesterday afternoon around 3p so if there was anything to propagate we should have been all set. on 3/21/2007 6:38 AM

You need to look at the firewall. is resolving to, whereas it would appear that the Exchange server traffic is coming out as
