Active Sync on SBS2003 not working.

I am currently setting up a SBS2003 server with Active Sync for a client of mine. I have OWA and OMA working. The problem i have is when i try to sync my device (Imate Jamin in this case) it appears that its woriking. It comes up Syncronoising folders for ages then the messages goes away .

I have just recently changed the default email domain in the virtual directories to the correct domain name.

So to clarify /OMA logs me in from a web browser no problem. Its just when i try to syncronise. THe device appears to time out

I wear a lot of hats...

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you using SSL?  Are there any errors posted on the device while syncing or after syncing?

Check the logs on the Exchange server, some, but not all of the EAS problems will generate an event on the server.  Have you tried OMA from the PDA?

So after the sync does it show that a successful sync was completed by telling you the date and time of last successful sync?

Does OMA work?  try https://host.domain.com/oma from the handheld and see if you can get there and login.  If you get any certificate errors etc.  If OMA isn't working EAS probably woudln't either.  Let me know.

In mobile settings in ESM do you have any of the Exchange settings turned on such as force password on device etc?  Check the permissionos the Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync virtual directory in IIS.  Also make sure that the user account you are trying to sync is enabled to sync in Exchange tasks or features tab in AD.
