PRINTSERVER CONNECT FAIL message pops up every 20 seconds.

PRINTSERVER CONNECT FAIL message pops up every 20 seconds.  This error message appears to be in an endless loop.  It started after trying to print through an application called Kodak Easyshare.  The option is called Quick Print.  It did not print the picture but did start this issue.

This message will survive a restart in Windows XP so ongoing.

I have a shared printer from another PC in the house.  I am able to print to this printer so there is not a connection issue with the printer.

Hello 56MDG, Question.. Can you print anything else? Is it just from that application? Try printing out another document from another application, such as Microsoft Word.  

Kodak Easyshare could be trying to print to another printer.  Instead of using the quickprint feature, check the print settings in the application and make sure the printer you want is selected.

I can print just fine just fine.  The problem is the pop-up message that keeps appearing over and over again.  How can I get this message to stop?

Just printed from Kodak Easyshare...this pop-up is a Windows XP issue.  It survives reboot and if you hit ok the message will pop-up again 20 seconds later.  It is associated with the print spooler...I can kill that service and it stops but when the print spooler service(spoolsv.exe) automatically starts back up(and it is needed for printing) the popup message starts again.

Hey again, dont know what else to say really.. try uninstalling the application and install it again.  Make sure you have the most updated version of the application.

Uninstalled the Kodak Easyshare and the same message over and over....if click ok it comes back after 20 seconds.  This appears to be a OS issue and not an issue with the application.  The only thing that stops the  error message is if I end task on the spoolsv.exe services.  This service will restart itself after a few minutes and the  error message comes back.

Let me double check some things here.. Where is the printer? attached to the same machine that has the kodak application? Or are you on a machine with the kodak application printing to a network printer? Can you read me the EXACT error? Thanks

The exact error is PRINTSERVER CONNECT FAIL....all printing works....the Kodak Application is not unsintalled off of my computer...the printer is attached to another workstation and shared through that pc.

I removed the Linksys print server and this resolved the issue.
