TV Child Lock ON and I have no Remote Control to turn it off

Posts: 173  Child Lock on and no remote control! HELP!!!

Hi, I got a second hand evesham tv from ebay and it was great, it came with no remote control though. I accidently enabled the child lock and now I cant use it at all.

I have a universal remote but there is no 3 digit code for an evesham, does any one know of any code that can work with an evesham?

I turned the TV off and on at the mains but it still dose not work, is there a battery I can take out somewhere?

I think you probably have 2 options

1. Call the manufacturer and see if they have any alternatives, but if they do a lot of times the remote is required to unlock or factory reset it.

2. Buy the specific remote for that TV assuming you know what # you entered into the child lock.

Sorry I don't have better advice, but if it were easy to get around the child lock wouldn't be that effective.
