Compatibility between SDLT drives (urgent!)

Hi

At present, we have a couple of different file servers that use different backup media/devices. We have now moved to a SAN that is backed up using Netbackup, but we still may need to restore the odd file from the old file servers.
The tape units on these old servers were;

120/220 SDLT
110/220 SDLT
160/320 SDLT
SDLT 600
Ultrium 460

Instead of keeping these old servers alive in case we need a restore, we're planning to build a consolidated backup server that can restore any of these media. Given compatibility between the different types of media, I assume there's no need to build a server with each of the different tape units (especially given that the media has to be readonly).
I've checked on the HP site, and there doesn't appear to anything clear.

Does anyone have an idea about one type of SDLT drive to use? Obviously the Ultrium drive we'll have to be there.

Urgent, so max points!

Thanks
Dilan

DLT drives are made by Quantum. Go to this link
http://www.quantum.com/ServiceandSupport/CompatibilityGuides/Index.aspx
Click Media
That will produce a pop up application which will let you check compatibility for the different drives.

Bottom line the SDLT600 can read the tapes from all the other SDLT drives. However once you have it setup do some test restores from all the different tapes.
