I am using the MainFramesetNotes as my frameset.  When I open the database, every thing looks great.  But when I pick a view from the list.  It changes the frameset to one that looks like it is not using a frame.  All my views in the database is listed and not the ones I am using in the DiscOutline.  I am very new to framesets.

I'm not sure why your views are not opening in your frameset, but here are some things to check:

1.  Are the views set to open in a specific Frameset?

To check this, open a view and check the 4th tab in the view's property window.  If there is a frameset and frame listed, removing them may fix your problem.  Be carefull, though.  If you are not familiar with the application, then removing the target framset/frame may break other parts of the app.

2.  Check the outline entry for a target frame.  If it is not "NotesView", then removing it may fix your problem (same warning as above still applies).

3.  Check the Embedded Outline on your page or form for a target frame (same warning as above still applies).

4.  Make sure that the frame in the frameset that is supposed to contain the view is named "NotesView".  This is a special keyword that helps the Notes client open linked objects.

When I clicked on a view in the Embedded Outline - it changes the Embedded Outline to show all views in the database.  It does change the view, but I am losing my embedded outline

Your cache may need to be cleared.
Close notes and delete your Cache.ndk file.  Then try again.

What is the Difference between NotesView and NotesPreview?  I wish I could take a screen shot to explain better what is going on.  I did delete the Cache.ndk, did not help.  When I open the database, everything looks nice.  I see my views from my embedded outline with a nice blue page behind it.

When I click on By ECR - the view comes up in the window, but the frame changes.  Now I see all the views in the database with a blue page.

In the MainFrameSetNotes the view side was pointing to a view and not a frame called View Frame
