How to register macs in DNS

I have a mixed enviroment of pc and mac computers in an 2003 AD domain.  Do I need to do anything special to get the macs to register automatically in dns?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

MACs by default will not register their connection.  You can setup in DHCP to automatically register clients in DNS or manually register them.  Doing in through DHCP is a better idea.  Unless their is a setting on the MAC to make it register itself, not sure, I am not a MAC person.  Best bet through DHCP.
