Router Upgrade

Hi guys,

we have Netgear FVS318v3 in the office. We had v2 before and it would freeze on us like 3 times a day. v3 is better and it has no limit for port forwarding rules. But still we have to reboot it at least 1 time a day because our company's websites stop functioning and all people in the office go offline. I bought it for ~ $150. I think it's cheap for a router. Now that we are sick and tired of this router's behavior, we want to buy something more stable and more reliable. But we still want the VPN/Firewall features in the router. What will be the best options for us? The acceptable range is $400 - $600.

Linksys or Cisco brand router is reliable and affordable nowaday. It is recommended to use them in business and also at home network. If you like more information, drop them a call and see how they explain their products. I have used many brands of routers before, and after switching to Linksys, I wont use any brand else (even other brands are still good).

Ok, I'm looking at Linksys 10/100 8-Port VPN Router RV082. The reviews aren't very good for it. Apparently it's not very stable.

Btw, we have T1, ~50 computers in the office and one vpn location with ~5 computers.
