Router Upgrade

Hi guys,

we have Netgear FVS318v3 in the office. We had v2 before and it would freeze on us like 3 times a day. v3 is better and it has no limit for port forwarding rules. But still we have to reboot it at least 1 time a day because our company's websites stop functioning and all people in the office go offline. I bought it for ~ $150. I think it's cheap for a router. Now that we are sick and tired of this router's behavior, we want to buy something more stable and more reliable. But we still want the VPN/Firewall features in the router. What will be the best options for us? The acceptable range is $400 - $600.

Thank you.

Linksys or Cisco brand router is reliable and affordable nowaday. It is recommended to use them in business and also at home network. If you like more information, drop them a call and see how they explain their products. I have used many brands of routers before, and after switching to Linksys, I wont use any brand else (even other brands are still good).

Ok, I'm looking at Linksys 10/100 8-Port VPN Router RV082. The reviews aren't very good for it. Apparently it's not very stable.

Btw, we have T1, ~50 computers in the office and one vpn location with ~5 computers.
