Zero Channel Raid Card

General question:   What is a zero raid control and how does it integret with a Motherboartd that already has RAID?  

I ask becuase the Supermicro X7DVA-E  says it's an option... But that board already has 0,1,5,10

Basically your motherboard supports RAID for SATA drives only.  The ZCR is for X7DVA-8 only which support SCSI as well.  You need the SCSI ZCR for SCSI drives.
