My IE browser got corrupted (had version 6, Service Pack 1)..Now it comes up but I am not able to click on anything in it..Cannot go to homepage, cannot minimize or anything..

I un-installed IE from windows add/remove component wizard(maybe I shouldnt have done it) ..Downloaded a version of IE 6 from MS site. When I tried to reinstall it says, newer version of IE detected..install cannot continue..

I went ahead and clened some registry entries referring to IE too..still no luck..
What is the best way to re-install IE? Any version will do..My OS is Windows XP Home.

Thanks,

LubomirMasar,

To reinstall Internet Explorer in Windows XP
http://www.theeldergeek.com/repair_reinstall_ie_and_oe_6.htm
OR
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;318378

Make sure you have downloaded the correct IE version for Windows XP SP1.  The uninstall for Windows XP SP1 is different for XP SP2.
