We are currently planning on changing our backup routine.  The media server is currently running Backup Exec 10.0 revision 5520 for Windows Servers.  All that is available to purchase for remote agents is 11d.   Am I able to run a higher version remote agent than what is on the media server?

When I tried this I had problems with BE seeing the remote server, but the backup kept failing syaing it could not connect. I had to upgrade to version 11d.

Sorry I should have been a little clearer. The servre could see the remotes server and you could select what to back up. The problem came when the backup ran, I got a message asking to install the remote agent to the server. Which I had done, but looked like it was caught in a loop. Upgraded and no problems.
