Since Installing a purchased Secure Certificate instead of a self-signed one, outlook web access causes a page not found error
One of our users has a vista machine that won't accept the original self signed certificate from our 2003 SBS sp1 server (Exchange 2003 is SP2). So to try and fix that we purchased a SSL cert and immediately after installing it if I try to connect to the https://roxanne.domainname.com/exchange (which is the URL we used to use) you get a 404 page not found error. I don't know that much about IIS and tried looking through the logs to see if there was anything helpful and wasn't able to see anything. It is behind a linux based firewall, but no changes have been made to the firewall. Internally the IP address is 10.x.x.99 address and externally the roxanne.domainame.com resolves correctly with port forwarding on the firewall for 443 and 80 to the 10.x.x.99 address

Good find.
You may try going to a command prompt and issuing an iisreset command to restart the IIS services.
