Add Static DNS Entry NOT in Zone

My Win2003 Running AD has the zone zone.com

But our real domain is realdomain.com
So I want to add an entry for the mail server, which is mail.realdomain.com

How do I tell the Windows 2003 box that when it gets requests for ONLY mail.realdomain.com that it should resolve it to the internal IP address??  I can't change the Win 2003 box to be the DNS for realdomain.com either, since it only has a fake ip (non routable 192.168 stuff)

The way you would do this is to create a new zone realdomain.com on you internal DNS server.  You will then have to add all your external DNS entries that you need to use for this domain in there and what you would like them to resolve to.  I do not know of a way that you can do only one address unless you are willing to do a local host file on every computer.  Once you define a zone in DNS for realdomain.com (which is what you need to do), your DNS server is going to use that for all realdomain.com lookups.
