Offline Printer Problem

I have an HP LJ 2420 connected to the network through a HP JD 175x.
The printer setup on my 2k3 SBS server with the latest drivers.

It was functional unitl a few days ago.  It is now listing as offline.  If I restart the print spooler, I can get it to come up long enough to do a 1 page print, then it drops offline again.

I tried creating another network port, and creating another printer with another driver with the same results.

The only change is I installed 2k3 SP2.

I have 16 other printers on this machine that are working fine varying from HP's to Lexmark's.

This printer is also set up on another 2k3 server and it is working fine from the other server.

Reinstall the drivers just in case of corruption

ASKER

Been there Done that.  Re-installed twice, and installed the latest from HP's web site.
I also just rebooted the server.

Thanks NeilParbrook.  Worked like a champ.
Server 2008 R2 here and just installed printer roles etc,, added printer HP LJ4200 (B&W) and printed test page then BAM! printer offline..  found this posting and worked for me too!  So thank you, but my question is why?  I don't really do "SNMP" at this poiint but curious as to why it forces printer offline and what if I want to use SNMP in future?  Hope you or someone knows.
