This question comes up quite frequently.

However you haven't really provided enough information to provide a response.

Version of Exchange?
Version of Windows?

Is Windows/Exchange on the latest services packs?
Are you using SSL?
If E2003, are you using Forms Based Authentication?
Frontend / Backend, or single server.

If you are in a single server, with SSL and FBA then you will probably need KB 817379 or my article here: http://www.amset.info/exchange/mobile-85010014.asp

Exchange 2003 on Server 2003 Standard SP2

No SSL - all disabled on the virual directories

I dont think it's FORMS based Authentication. (Im not sure where to find this)

The "This is a Front End Sever" is unchecked on the mailserver properties on ESM.  Im afraid I might screw it up if I check and apply it.

I even tried http://support.microsoft.com/kb/817379/

Help!

Yes. https://host.domain.com/exchange works!  but
https://host.domain.com/oma doesnt.  The login screen pops up but I get "A system error has occurred whil processing your request.  Please try again. If Prob..."
Im getting a new error now on my phone.  It says, error code  0x85010001
Its all related.
Reset the virtual folders and then carry out the steps I have outlined.
The other thing to check is that you do not have ASP.net 2.0 enabled on any of the virtual folders - Exchange web functionality is asp.net 1.1 only -not 2.0.

Thanks Simon!   Resetting the virtual directories did the trick.  I was hesitant to do that because I was afraid I would screw up all authentications.  You are the greatest!
