Urgent! Small Business Server CAL installation question
Urgent Client Access License on Small Business Server 2003 R2 problem, I'm confused!
I am installing a new SBS 2003 server over the weekend. It has to be ready to go by Monday morning. The customer purchased the server software and sufficient CALs. The software arrived via courier, but there is no sign of the CALs themselves.
When I go to add CALs, the Wizard requests a 25 digit key. I think that there is a website used to get keys, but I don't have any idea how to use it, or how to get started with it.
So, my first question is: Is there a grace period during which more clients can access the new server than there are CALs registered for? If so, how long is it?
Secondly, what do I need to get to track down and install the CALs my client has purchased?
