Domain forwarding with websites

A new domain server was just rolled out at our church.  The domain name is something like domainname.org.  However, the church's website is also domainname.org.  The computers connected to the domain cannot actually access the domainname.org website.  How can I forward the request of the domainname.org website to the actual website?

G'day mate

Technically I'm sure your 'should' remove and recreate your internal domain with a new domain name :)  Not pretty. Personally I'd add a Host (A) Record for www.ipAddress for your external Web Server' in the 2003 Servers DNS zone.  Make sure to enter the www portion for this to work. That way when an internal client enters the website it resolves to the external IP and not an internal DC.

For this to work you need to be using internal DNS for resolution. If it's a windows domain this is how it should be setup anyway.  IF for what ever reason you don't use internal DNS then just add an entry in each machines host file that maps www.company.org to x.x.x.x
