I need to get a list of all the files in Visual Source safe aswell as their versions.  I know I can get the versions if I right-click and select Properties but want to know if there is an easy way to print the files along with their versions as there are hundreds of them.
I have a list of what's currently in Production (stored in a database seperate to VSS).  This lists the file name aswell as the version.  I need to do a comparison against what's in VSS, so I need to generate the same type of list.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction? I have no idea whether this is actually possible ?!?!  Maybe I could use a script?
Thanks :-)

Ciara,
You can use the GetFileVersion method of the File System Object like this:
'=========================
If objFSO.FileExists("C:\Program Files\Citrix\icaweb32\wfica.ocx") = True Then
      strFileVersion = objFSO.GetFileVersion("C:\Program Files\Citrix\icaweb32\wfica.ocx")
Else
      'MsgBox "File cannot be found."
End If
'=========================

If you combine this with a routine that gives you all of the files in a folder, you can loop through them.

Regards,

Rob.
