I have a laptop with a broken motherboard, so it doesn´t work anymore,  however, the screen is nice, I have opened the laptop and disconnected the screen, I am wondering how could I connect other source of video? like to use it with a desktop computer as flat monitor,  or even as a portrait  or dvd?  does anybody know what is the config of the cable?  what is power, what is video, etc?  I know it´s wired but why not try..  thanks

Unfortunately, laptop LCD screens need a special controller to drive them, and that controller is typically part of the motherboard.  If you were to ever open up an LCD monitor, you would see the circuit.  Laptop monitors are usable as replacement parts for other broken laptops, because the screen is typically what gets broken.
