With Exchange 2007, my boss is wondering if its possible to share contacts between users for basic CRM functionality.  With Public Folders being depreciated is there a way to do this effectively?

Even though they are depreciated, you can still use them on Exchange 2007 just like you can on Exchange 2003. The only difference is that you can't manage them from Exchange Systems Manager / Exchange Management Console.

First, you can use the Exchange Management Shell to do all the tasks you currently might do on Exchange 2003's System Manaer (albeit a bit cryptic, look through the Shell's help sections)

Second, in Exchange 2007's SP1, there WILL be a GUI management portion for PF management added. I think everyone complained about this.

Third, the OWA clients will not be able to access the PF's. That kind of just stinks, not sure if there's a workaround.
