How to remove a dot004_001 printer port

Need to remove a dot004_001 port under printers.  Need to reassign this to another printer?  Any one have an idea how?  It is an hp 2200 laset printer assigned to it but the printer is no longer being used. Tried stopping the spooler service.

You can't delete it.
and
You don't have to delete it, just install the new printer and you'll get a new port.
