How can I change the virtual COM port used for communication with a Bluetooth device? I'am using a USB Bluetooth dongle (Blutonium BCM2035 chip)  with a Broadcom Bluetooth stack. The operating system is Win XP.

Thanks.

Go to Control Panel\Bluetooth Devices\Com Ports

You should be able to change virtual com ports for devices in there.

Actually, you described the solution for the Micorsoft stack. But you got me on the right trip. In the case of Broadcom you go to Control Panel\Bluetooth Configuration\Client Applications.

If you go via Control Panel\System\Device Manager (as I didt initially) you can only change the COM ports for devices running with the Microsoft stack.

Okay - sorry about that.

Glad I could get you on the right track though. Thanks.
