Hi have installed ubuntu server and all seems mega, however im trying to run a site that uses postgres.

ive installed postgres ok but when i browse to a postgres backed php page i get the following error

Your PHP installation does not support PostgreSQL. You need to recompile PHP using the --with-pgsql configure option.

can any one tell me how to recompile php in ubuntu with postgres enabled without messing the rest of it up as i have no idea

thanks in advance

Hi,

try to install postgresql module for php.

#apt-get install php4-pgsql
or
#apt-get install php5-pgsql

depends on your version of PHP

restart apache...and try again..
