ListBox User Control error

I am trying to create a LISTBOX user control by inheriting from the listbox.  I am getting an error message that sais
"Property ' SupportAutoEvents' cannot be declared 'Overides' because it does not override a property in a base class.

Any ideas would be helpful please.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Do not use the word overides.

You can only use this on a property that exists in the base class.  Your extended properties should not need the overide keyword.

Sorry - I assumed it was a property you were adding without looking at it.

I have not seen this when inheriting from a listbox - I have a control which has done this and did not need to touch the SupportAutoEvents.

This may help:
