ListBox User Control error

I am trying to create a LISTBOX user control by inheriting from the listbox.  I am getting an error message that sais
"Property ' SupportAutoEvents' cannot be declared 'Overides' because it does not override a property in a base class.

Any ideas would be helpful please.

Do not use the word overides.

You can only use this on a property that exists in the base class.  Your extended properties should not need the overide keyword.

this function is generated as a temp file.  I cannot change the overides

Protected Overrides ReadOnly Property SupportAutoEvents() As Boolean
                Return false
            End Get
        End Property
Sorry - I assumed it was a property you were adding without looking at it.

I have not seen this when inheriting from a listbox - I have a control which has done this and did not need to touch the SupportAutoEvents.
