Can you install Domino Web Access 7 Control using command line?

I have to write a program to remotely install a Lotus notes component called  Domino Web Access 7 Control. I would like to use some type of comand line to install this component but I can't find a reference to one on the web. Can anyone tell me if one exists and if so where I can find information on it?

Thanks

Don't know, but in general it will probably be a DLL, or an MSI file.

EIther one should be installable by a command line or batch file.

DO you have the program component already ?

No- I looked this up on the web and according to what I have read it's a cab file. I have been told that you have to pick options when it installs. I'd like to be able to install it using command line and sending the program a parameter list. Is there a good website that I can go read up on the control?

Check the MS site for how to do automated install of a CAB file

I hope this helps !

See

it seems that a CAB file is simply a compressed file.

You need to extract it first, and then see what type of files are used for the installation.

I wanted to let you know that I found that the issue with installing the activex control was solved by changing a server-side configuration. The Lotus Notes admin was able to to disable the ActiveX download. We do not need to have that option turned on automatically in our environment. I have posted the link to the site in case someone else has this issue - the article references DWA6 issue but the error message we kept getting was the same.

Thanks for your help!
