Line space problem when creating scroll area

Creating a scroll area on the page the problem is when I enter the text in the code view, html ( I have to with the scroll code it does not let me type in display area I have to use code mode) the sentences are spaced too close together on top of each other. If I use the tag<br/> the space is not enough 2 of these and the space is too much any suggestions?

Change the line-height and font-size attributes of the CSS until you get the result you're looking for.
