When my outlook (2003) downloads messages from the exchange server (exchange 2003 on Server Standard edition 2003) the messages gets deleted of the mail server.

When I access my mailaccount over OWA my inbox is empty. I went in to settings, and cached mode box is checked, yet once I have downloaded a mail to my inbox they are gone from the exchange server. Why is this, how do i get the mails to stay on the server as well as in my outlook?

G'day

Check that the mails are stored in your exchange store rather than a PST. My guess is they are being removed from Exchange and stored in a PST that resides somewhere else.

Open > Tools menu > Email Accounts > Next > With the exchange server option selected look at the "deliver new mail to the following location' section.  It should read Mailbox - Your Name
