Calculating transfer rate and response time using java

I want to calculate the transfer rate and response time of a server using java and ssh connection.The server operating system is Linux.

You need to collect metrics in your application - take a look at:

You'll need to log the time stamps when you make a connection, receive the data, close the connection and the volume of data received. You can log it to a CSV file and compare the metrics later.
