Edit Photoshop Action - Folder Path

I need to know how to edit a Photoshop action. We have a present Action that was setup about 4 -5 years ago, ... still works great.
We need to create a copy of that set, and edit the folder paths only of the action. The action set opens an image from one directory, runs through a set of actions, and then saves it out to another directory. Do not need to edit anything else in the action, just the folder paths.
I am willing to approach this in anyway, either through Photoshop, or some kind of editor that will edit the .atn file directly.

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

first highlight your action and with the sub menu choose 'save actions...'

save that file somewhere. this backs up your actions in case you need to go back.

open a file in photoshop (any file will do)

expand your actions and find the place where it saves the file

double click on that

it'll ask you to save the file, do so AND change the directory to your new destination.

your done.

you'll probably want to discard the image you just saved, we were just 'using' it to alter an action.

Your solution gave me an idea... so I stepped through each action in the set, and reassigning where to open from and close to. There is no "save" function, but it seems to be working. Thanks.
