Stopping auto-generation of Resx files?

VS auto-generates .resx files whenever the controls are edited. The .resx files are causing me problems viewing the controls in the designer. When the .resx exists, the designer won't open the control and claims it can't find an assembly that the control uses. When the resx file is deleted, everything works perfectly.

Is there a way to stop the auto generation of the resx file?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

There is no way to stop the auto generation.  However, have you tried double clicking the resx file to see what resources it contains and perhaps which one is missing?  Resx files include such things as external images and tray controls such as Color Dialogs, File Dialogs, Print Dialogs etc that you have dragged onto the form.
